Record or upload

One full swing per clip — select several clips to read them as a batch.

Record in-app, or upload clips from your camera roll — pick several to read them back-to-back.

Upload the original file. A WhatsApp / iMessage / AirDrop copy is re-compressed and loses the true frame-rate — tempo and sequence will turn off. Use the camera-roll original or record in-app. On iPhone, pick the clip from Files, not Photos — the Photos picker silently converts 4K 120 fps to 1080p 60.

Tripod, landscape, 6–12 ft awaySet the phone on a tripod (no handheld) in landscape, framing your full body and the whole club arc from address through finish.
240 fps slow-mo (or 120) at a fast shutterFrame rate is the #1 thing that separates a real read from a guess. Shoot 240 fps slow-mo if your phone has it — 120 fps minimum. Tempo, X-factor stretch, and kinematic sequence stay turned off below 120.
Down-the-line vs face-onDown-the-line (DTL): camera at hand height, aimed along your target line. Face-on (FO): camera at hip height, centered on your stance. Each view sees different faults — matched DTL + FO of the same club is ideal.
Light behind the cameraKeep the sun or main light behind the camera, or shoot in overcast / open shade. Never shoot into the sun — backlight and hard shadows fool the body read.
One full swing, plain backgroundOne swing per clip, with a plain background where possible (avoid busy multi-bay range nets). An alignment stick on your target line sharpens the read.
